Here's who runs this site and MonoStudy, the study-tracking app.
MonoStudy is built and run by a solo developer. I handle the planning, development, and operation of the MonoStudy app, as well as writing every article in this site's study column, on my own.
Studying only pays off if you keep at it, and keeping at it is the hard part. That idea is where this project started. MonoStudy grew out of my own struggles with studying: I built an app that cuts the friction of logging your work down to almost nothing, and I write practical articles on how to actually stick with studying over time.
This site serves two purposes.
Articles are written from my own experience as a developer and learner, combined with well-established findings in learning science, such as the forgetting curve and spaced practice. I avoid exaggerated claims and don't recommend study methods without solid backing. If you spot an error, please let us know through the contact page; we'll check it and correct it.
This site may show ads through Google AdSense. Ad revenue goes toward covering the cost of running the app and the site.
MonoStudy brings a study timer, flashcards, a to-do list, and statistics charts together in one app. It's available as a web app and on iOS. See the terms of service for usage conditions and the privacy policy for how your data is handled.
