Article 1Application

These Terms apply to all relationships concerning use of the Service between the user and the operator (SpiralInf, the "Operator"). The Operator may amend these Terms as necessary, and the amended content takes effect once posted on this page. For material changes, the Operator will notify users by appropriate means.

Article 2Registration

Users may begin using the Service anonymously. Only when, for example, syncing records across multiple devices, a user may choose to log in with a Google account or similar. Please refrain from providing false information when registering.

Article 3Prohibited conduct

In using the Service, users must not engage in the following:

Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
Acts that interfere with operation of the Service, or unauthorized access or modification
Acts that attempt to improperly obtain or view other users' data
Reverse engineering, or any other act that places an excessive load on the Service

Article 4Paid plan (Premium)

In addition to a plan that lets you use the basic features for free, the Service offers a paid "Premium" plan. With Premium, the limits on the number of words and tags are removed, and you can use your full study history and per-tag charts.

On the free plan, you may register up to 50 words and up to 3 tags. The specific contents of the features provided may change without notice for the purpose of improvement.

Article 5Price & payment

The fee for the Premium plan is ¥280 per month (tax included). The latest price follows the amount (tax included) shown on the in-app plan purchase screen.

Payment is processed using RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) as the billing platform. Subscriptions from the iOS app (App Store) are made via Apple's In-App Purchase; subscriptions from the web are made via credit card payment (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, etc.) through the payment processor Stripe (Stripe, Inc.). The fee is charged automatically at the time of subscription and at each subsequent renewal. Premium features are available immediately after payment is completed.

Aside from the fee, internet connection charges and other communication costs are borne by the user.

Article 6Auto-renewal & cancellation

Unless the user cancels, the Premium plan renews automatically on the same terms at the end of each period, and the fee is charged each time.

You can cancel anytime: if you subscribed via the iOS app, from the iPhone "Settings" → Apple Account → "Subscriptions"; if you subscribed via the web, from the payment management screen inside the app. By cancelling before the next billing date, you can stop subsequent charges. Even after cancelling, you can continue to use Premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Article 7Refunds

Because Premium is digital content by nature, we generally cannot accept returns or refunds after purchase. Except where a refund is required by law, we do not refund fees already paid. The treatment after cancellation is as described in the preceding article.

Article 8Provision, change & suspension of the Service

The Operator may change or suspend all or part of the Service without prior notice for maintenance or security reasons. For significant changes, the Operator will notify users by appropriate means.

Article 9Disclaimer

The Operator does not guarantee the continuity, completeness, or accuracy of the Service.
The Operator is not liable for any damage incurred by the user in connection with use.
The same applies to damage arising from failures of external services (Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, Stripe, etc.).

Article 10Handling of personal data

Handling of user information follows the Privacy Policy. Please also review the Notation based on the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions.

Article 11Intellectual property

Intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the Operator. The license granted under these Terms confers only the right to use the Service and does not imply any transfer of intellectual property or any other rights.

Article 12Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. For disputes arising out of or related to the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the Operator's location shall be the exclusive agreed court of first instance.

reCAPTCHA notice

To protect against abuse and automated attacks, the Service uses reCAPTCHA provided by Google. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
